The highlight of this weekend’s Merchant Festival in Glasgow was the opening of The Briggait, a vibrant new arts centre and studio complex created from the original Victorian fishmarket.
McKay Flooring were delighted to be involved in the refurbishment of this iconic place. We restored the original oak flooring, repairing, sanding and sealing the wooden flooring and helping to bring life back to one of the Merchant City’s finest buildings.
You can read more about the history and renovation of The Briggait in the Scotsman with more information on the architecture of the Briggait on the Scottish Architecture website. BBC Scotland has published a slideshow of the Briggait Reborn.
