Historic Parquet Flooring

by Seamus on May 17, 2012

On a recent trip to Edinburgh we finally were able to take some photos of the extensive parquet flooring works we undertook at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery. As part of the two year £17m refurbishment McKay Flooring were commissioned by BAM Construction to uplift existing herringbone parquet flooring and repair, re-lay, machine sand then re-lacquer over 2,000m2 of beautiful old oak parquet, pitch pine and maple parquet battens throughout the historic building – no easy task that involved keeping specialist parquet flooring operatives on site for over a year!

The full extent of our UK wide parquet flooring services can be seen at our specialist Classic Parquet website.
