Kelvindale School Football Team – Update

The McKay Flooring sponsored Kelvindale Primary football teams are going from strength to strength – here’s a short update of the seasons action to date:

The school football season is finally underway with both the P6 & P7 teams doing well. The P6′s won both their matches 5-1 against Jordanhill and 10-1 against Scotstoun.

The P7′s clad in their new McKay Flooring strips, won their first match 5-2 against Scotstoun and drew 2-2 with Knightswood; the team they met (and beat on sudden death penalties) in last year’s final. The first match had Ewan McArthur finding the back of the net twice with Patrick Baird getting a hat-trick!
The Kelvindale – Knightswood Derby is a heart stopping 25 minute nail biter which both teams really look forward to. To be honest, on this occasion the Kelvindale boys were happy to settle for a draw given that the opposition had us under pressure for most of the 1st half. Ewan McArthur and Nicholas Georgiou both put their names on the scoreboard.

The new strips clearly made an impression, on their first public outing, with one of the Knightswood boys commenting “nice strip” during the pre match handshakes.
