Reclaiming the Chelsea Flower Show

We’re always looking to get involved in projects that are a bit different or unusual and we were delighted to be recently contacted by a Yorkshire based award winning garden designer who is looking for some reclaimed flooring products for the design he is building for this years Chelsea Flower Show. A selection of exotic timbers have been chosen to build contemporary outdoor fence features – reclaimed floorboards are being used as they retain the aged and distressed look our designer was looking for. Design and build are in the very early stages at the moment but as this project progresses we should be able to divulge more details and show off some photos when the time is right. It is important to choose the right timber if you are attempting this type of project as certain woods perform better than others when exposed to the elements. Our showroom staff are only too happy to advise and help anyone who is looking for expert advice about timber species and reclaimed floorboards.
